Simple and Blue

No, I have not fallen off the face of the earth.  It has, however, been raining the last three weekends and holiday tasks have kept me busy.

Here is a preview of what I am working on:

And finally, you can just see the netted top and the underlying wooden bead in this shot:

I am doing something simple.  I know, I have said that before.  This time I am repeating a design I did in October of 2011.  Here it is in white:

  1. Love the cobalt color, and I love beaded beads in general.

    1. Cobalt blue is one of my very favorite colors and these beads have an AB finish so they are really nice. Thank you.

    1. Thank you Lynsey. I probably should not admit that I have had one of them done for almost a year and the beads sitting out so I would not forget what beads I used. It is quite possible to get sidetracked on the easy things.

  3. I have to agree about the color! It really is gorgeous. So rich.

Your beaded beads are lovely. And I won't tell you how many WIP I tend to have at any one time because then I'd have to admit to it and that would be depressing. But suffice it to stay, I totally understand having beady projects waiting for their next round of attention.

    1. WIP we all have a pile. I have this beautiful carved stone leaf that I just cannot find the right rope for.

      Thank you.

Everything You make is wonderful.I love Your beaded beads-both versions are so nice.Maybe simple, but after all-all the elegance comes from the simplicity.

  5. I think the holidays slow everyone down a bit! I LOVE that creamy winter white necklace. Bravo! Especially the little heart pendant. Yum.

    1. The heart pendant is a German pattern and it is just perfect. Fair warning to anyone thinking of buying it, the pattern requires both Czech and Delica beads. Having done this for so long I have quite a stash of both.

The white necklace is one of favorites and I have worn it more than any other piece I have made.

    1. Thank you, it took me quite some time to conquer simple single color beaded beads made solely from seed beads. The secret for me was (1) Use at least two different sizes of beads and (2) use netting at the top and bottom to finish off the bead.
